He hadn't been told exactly who was going to bail him out. It took Kyrie weeks to convince him to leave the house and the first favor Dante asked him to do ended up with him in a jail cell. On his one call? All that asshole had to say was, 'I'll phone a friend and get them to bail you out. Play nice, alright, kid?'
His cellmates wouldn't come close to him after seeing his arm but when one of the patrolmen spoke to their supervisor on the phone? It sounded as if the angry-looking kid with the weird arm came out of the wreckage of some rich shut-in's mansion.
A part of him felt annoyed that he'd been wasting his night in a concrete block but Nero, leaning against the bars, flexed the fingers of his possessed hand and watched a current of light rise up from beneath its hard scales. His brows were knitted, a wild look coming about him when he thought about what exactly that sixth sense of his was telling him when it his arm reacted that way.
"What in the...?" It was nearly inaudible, snuck out when there was a buzz at the front door of the station. Someone or something was being let in. His cellmates flinched when he stood up straight, grasping at the bars of their holding cell as if he were keen on pulling them open. "There's no way I left a straggler. I took all those bastards out."
